THRILLING EXPERIENCE WITH GORILLAS

Waking up in the morning of 14 february  from my home town in Nairobi to Kenyatta international airport  very enthusiastic of the trip am going to take to the pearl of Africa . I had read a lot about the Gorillas , there amazing features that kept captivating my mind, for once I did not stop at wondering if what I heard about experiences deriverived from Gorilla trekking were that satisfactory.
From different theories I had an understanding that these creatures had 90% genes related to the human species , they were described as being very huge and gentle giants . one of the things that captivated me the most was the silverback that was the strong hold of each group or rather family. The eagerness to see this species that protected its young house hold with its life was amazing, the kind nature that it had towards the female members of its group and the siblings was seemingly amazing.
As a member of the east African community the prices for the Gorilla permits were fairly affordable roughly 100$ . I used Active safaris company as my tour operators and my guide was Billy from the same company he was a friendly man who had vast knowledge about the Gorillas and he selected for me the best family to visit,  we arrived at Bwindi late night and the following morning we started Gorilla tracking.  We walked for a great distance , would not say I was that my hopes of seeing the Gorilla were diminishing much as I was enjoying everything about the national parks the birds the nature and amazing scenery and the climate within was amazing. Just as I was about to give up trekking the guide pointed to us , how amazing it was , I met the Bituukara family at Ruhija (EAST OF BWINDI) which has around 13 members including 4 silverbacks. The Bitukura group was named after a river where the family members were first sighted. Bitukura is a peaceful family including 4 silverbacks and some playful juveniles , the juveniles kept climbing the trees and doing funny movements that kept us all laughing.. How fulfilling my experience had become I had got more than what I had come for, Bwindi  is just fully gifted with all forms of nature that I have had to encounter with all this years of my travelling experience, my eyes witnessed different species of birds kind that I was never going to encounter anywhere else  I enjoyed the Arizona and with my own eyes got to the conclusions that there is nothing as thrilling as Gorilla trecking.
